Elite Beat Agents is a music game for the ds, that, while getting high praise from critics, failed to sell. However, it’s definitely one of the best ds games out.

The game is different from most rhythm games by, instead of using peripherals, just uses the ds touch screen and stylus to beat markers and tapping them, controlling a ball to get dots for points like pac-man, or spinning a wheel at the end and giving yourself carpal tunnel. The sound of the game is good, but the song list is average. For every David Bowie and Rolling Stones, there’s a Sum 41 and Ashlee Simpson to put you in a bad mood.

Does it really matter about the graphics in a rhythm game? Anyway, the storylines in the levels are nicely animated with a comic book feel, while the agents are animated in a nice 3d style with a comical style.

The game has a very simple design, with songs coming out after you finish the last one. However, there are only 18 songs, so the game is pretty short. There’s multiplayer, but it’s rather dull and lifeless compared to single player.

This is not a game for the faint of heart. The last songs are extremely hard, and Canned Heat on any difficulty besides easy is torture. You should always start on easy.

There are rarely glitches in this game. However, you’ll want your ds calibrated, and my ds rarely reacts to the top left corner.

Overall, the game is extremely fun, and if the speculation is correct, there should be a sequel, and hopefully, that’ll get rid of the crappy tracklist.

Madworld is a third person action game that is part of the ” Trilogy of Violence” with No More Heroes and HOTD: Overkill, with fountains of blood and just being awesome.

Madworld uses its M rating to the highest degree with more blood than enemies by a 80:1 ratio. Variety comes in through in ways to kill and bloodbath challenges. However, you’re eventually just  be going back to the wall of spikes. Overall, Madworld’s gameplay is bloody and fun, but it is rather clunky.

The graphics in the game are fantastic. The visuals are black, white, and red, and the entire game feels like an even more twisted Sin City. The only bad thing I can think of is the racially insensitive Black Baron, but he dies a lot.

The game has a lot of replay value, like going to new traps or trying to rack up combos. However ,the game is only 10 hours long and the multiplayer is tacked on and pointless.

The game is on the easy side, yet sometimes the games goes straight to frustration. However, the hard mode is like trying to beat Ikaruga blindfolded.

The game is built on variety, and luckily it gives you a million ways to kill. And when you get weapons, the game goes to another level. And it always feels satisfying pulling someones spine out.

Overall, the game is high quality fun, but the swearing and violence keep it from being for everyone.
